About me

Intense Arcade is a vertical integrator of innovative and stylish small virtual pinball machines and parts. My products are unique because I design and build everything I sell.

Hi, I'm Rick Horwitz, the creative force behind Intense Arcade. My passion for cabinet making, pinball, and electronics tinkering eventually led me to design virtual pinball machines. I am an active contributor in the Virtual Pinball community and share my designs as open source projects. I use Intense Arcade as my monetized hobby to fund the research for these shared technologies.

I am also the only Virtual Pinball cabinet builder that also designs and builds VP Controller Interface boards. At my disposal I have my own CNC router, FDM and SLA 3D printers. Since I also design and build my own circuit boards, I also own a small automated SMT line (using a a lumen PnP and reflow convection oven).

With all these extraordinary resources, I am now building the next generation pinball machines and electronics with better features, technology, and aesthetics.
